Whistle Blowing, Exposé, Investigative Journalism: Talk to the Press helps expose a convicted paedophile who was working as a talent scout for Xfactor and BGT

Talk to the Press is your pathway to the press for whistle blowing, exposing wrong doing, and investigative journalism.  If you have information you would like to share with the press, how do you ensure that you’re contacting the right person or making the relevant people sit up and take notice?

Last week we received a tip off that a convicted paedophile is working as a talent scout for Xfactor and Britain’s Got Talent.

We contacted the relevant news correspondent within the Sun newsroom and passed over the information in return for a fee for our client.  The Sun continued to work on the information we had given them and following The Sun’s investigation, it emerged that ex-choirmaster Sean Jennings, 42, changed his name  – hiding his true identity and prison sentence of four and a half years for abusing a boy of 12.

Sickeningly, the judge who sentenced him in 2003 described him as having an ‘addiction’ after police raided his home and found 10,000 indecent images of naked boys.

In court, his young victim described him as ‘evil’.

Jennings, who now uses the name Sean Jeffrey, pleaded guilty to seven counts of indecent assault, three of indecency with a child – plus making and possessing indecent images of children.

Today, after serving four and a half years behind jail, he touts himself as a vocal coach and helps finds acts for both Xfactor and BGT. Although neither show pays him he boasts online about his relationship with the hit TV shows.

The story ran as a double page spread in The Sun on Sunday and The Sun informed Scotland Yard that his business, London Vocal Coach, takes bookings from children under 16.

Child protection expert and former detective Mark Williams, who outed Jimmy Savile as a peado,’ said: ‘Well done for exposing this guy. He clearly presents a danger.’
